I guess I could be called a self-made poet. I began writing in 95’, & discovered something that would become a huge part of my heart & soul. I met a small group of people having little more experience than myself, & for about 5 years we set it all off (we thought)? I have not written or read much since we went our seperate ways in 2000, & I miss it very much. No, I need it back very much! I have had no classes or schooling to help me develope my skills, & I can not find anywhere to go & put it down with my fellow poets (yes, i have looked & looked). Could use some help in columbus? Thanx URBIS, & injoy & God bless to all my poet family….1lovepoetry

I open my notebook and stare at blank pages mental pictures faded stained red cut by the sharp edges of my thoughts my heart beats faster as I reach these crossroads and cross hoping to inter the world of these white lined sheets drench myself from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet in the truth! While my skin sizzles with the riddles of my resurrection but then, I finally realize depicted right before my eyes that I've been captured and imprisoned on a piece of paper so I ask myself...

You are surely talented in the way you see things, break them down in your mind, and then put it on paper. This poem give readers a taist of your talent, and paints a very clear picture of what you are seeing. That is poetry. The only problem I have is that it is over as fast as it starts. I would like to read more. Good job.

I love the way you play with your words. Have you ever read any Saul Williams? He is pretty hard to find, but he is a master at word play. I love this style of writing. Keep up the good work, and I'll be looking for more of you on Urbis.
It really means something deep inside ourselves when we write about a lost loved one. I wrote poems about my father (42), my grandmother and 2 friends(19 &28) when they passed suddenly. It is a great poem nomatter what anyone says. I think it needs some work to be published, but poems like this are personal. Thats what matters most.

Haiku/Senryu / I Miss You
I liked it, but it feels like something missing. Its a discription more than a poem. Try adding a little to this one. Publishable, maybe not. Enjoyed and felt, yes.
