I am an amateur writer of Hard Science Fiction. I am 48 years of age and a great admirer of Edgar Rice Burroughs (old school), Larry Nivens, Brin, Fred Saberhagin (beserkers), yeah…you get the idea. I have all these ideas in my head, yet as a writer, am woefully unprepared. And so I begin my journey by doing the only thing I can to further my goal of writing a successful novel, and that is simply to read my genre and practice my craft. I’m here to get some idea of how I’m doing by exposure to others with like interests. To my fellow ink assassins, good hunting.

This is the most polished work I've seen yet on here. Flawless, stands on its own, flows, an easy read-all the elements I wish I could master. In my opinion, this piece is ready for publication. I have absolutely no criticism to offer here.
Delightful! A few mistakes in grammer and flow- dosen't even need a re-write, just a small bit-o-polish! Great story. I absolutely love the metaphors here... And your command of dialog is perfect!
This is undoubtedly, one of the best poems I have read on here. Even with the added restriction of using the title vertically it still flows well and stretches the mind. Kudos
Interesting piece. Excellent descriptions of drug abuse- fallen stars and hard lives. I missed a couple of points, probably because I'm not on that wavelength, LOL. Read it all- liked it all. Kudos
