I find that I have much in common with the Aranaea (spider).  I prefer a mostly solitary life (aside from my lovely wife and daughter), I cling to my web of creations and dreams, hoping one day to snare some grand opportunity fluttering by.  I find comfort in the shaded and hidden corners of the world, where I can quietly spin, and dream, and create.  I feel every little vibration, every minute disturbance influences my weaving and becomes an integral part of my ever expanding world. Like the spider, often maligned and misunderstood, but possessing a certain dark beauty and mystery.

From writing, to artwork, to music, the joy lies in the creation.  It’s in the midst of creation that we lose ourselves, and for a brief moment, bec…

Margret Fleisman stands before her kitchen window, elbow deep in lukewarm, slightly discolored dishwater. Margret was scrubbing furiously at a particularly tenacious stain. Behind her, at the rickety old kitchen table, her husband Carl had his face buried in the Sunday paper, once again completely oblivious to his surroundings, including Margret's current concerns. Margret finally resigned herself to the knowledge that, this stain will not come out and that she must confront her husband on a...

“There is also goodness in the world” Those were the last words my wife spoke, as she lay dying before me. Her face pale and ashen, her lips a bloodless line, her hair, once golden and radiant, matted with her own blood. Only her eyes remained untouched by the violence which preceded those final moments. Her eyes, clear and bright as the day we met, so very long ago it seems now… though it may have been only a few years past. Her eyes spoke to me of life, of hope, of purity and love. Then the...

Very provocative as well as entertaining, an interesting blend of spite and humor. One thing that strikes me, however, is the statement "Antibacterial wipes for our homes; which actually contribute to illness because after you leave the sterile environs which you have created in order to work, play, or otherwise exist, you become exposed to those very germs you have tried to eradicate, and become ill as a consequence." - Presumably that was meant as satire, in a tongue-in-cheek sort of way? B...

Friggan awesome. Absolutely love the forceful and aggressive rhythm to it. And the sentiment behind it, well, I can relate. I think everyone who has ever experienced pain and personal anguish (i.e. – Everyone) can relate to this to some degree. Very powerful and introspective. I’d love to hear this used as lyrics for a heavy metal song, something in the metal-core genre. Man, I can hear it in my head. Brilliant! Makes me want to crank up the ol’ guitar and shred out some vicious power chords....

Hmmm, makes me think of a couple of different things. Firstly it sounds like a political speech. Like something that George W. Bush might broadcast after a particularly unsavory event, like the current travesty in the Middle East. There appears to be a deeper meaning at work as well though. A religious one? It speaks to me of the final ascension of mankind on Judgment Day: " one time when all will be seen and appreciated this time could be now, later or in a million years" Or perhaps instead ...
