Hehhe it reminds me of Creature Feature (the band) and Nightmare Before Xmass. I liked your imagery,it seems like a nice commentary on all the cliche halloween aspects, but in a way that's not totally boring. I'd really enjoy this song if I heard it on the radio or the interenet or something like that. I was very much into the story line of the song but... I'm not going to lie, I wasn't feeling it. I can't reall hear this being a song, more of a poem. The rhyme was all over the place in a couple of cases. You'd rhyme one or two times in a section, then the rest would bee free verse. On your refrain (the Damnation, damnation parts)it didn't the same flow as a refrain should. Even when refrains aren't the exact same they'd have the same ryhtym and similiar ryhme. The idea of being possessed in a relationship is sometime uncomfortable, then again it too is uncomfortable when the other person feels possession from one's self. The idea that we don't want become property to another, yet claim them as our own. Well put my friend.
Seems like the idea of living for another, if I'm not mistaken. Which I think holds true in some respects, in many cases people's best and truest colors are shown onyl because of the presence of another. Very interesting.
