I am an aspiring writer in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre from San Pedro, CA. I have written a book that I am working on to get published. I have also started a second book; unrelated to the first one.
I also enjoy reading books in the same genre by well-known and not so well-known authors. As well as books by other aspiring writers.

Chapter Two Targo walked into the Tomus Transport Station and looked at the posted schedule. The next Transport to Gadmar would not be arriving for another fifteen minutes. Gadmar was Tomus’ other neighbor, though it would still be a four-hour trek to reach the Galaxy’s third planet. Targo sat on the bench in the station and went over his plan. He had figured on stopping at each planet on his way to Anthium. He still did not expect to meet anyone who would willingly volunteer to join him on t...

Chapter One Targo stared in disbelief at the demolition. Nio did not even look like a planet anymore. He had been born and raised on Nio and Targo Nevin had lived here all of his eighteen years since. Yet he barely even recognized his home planet. Swirling masses of smoke could be seen throughout the wasted landscape. They drifted upward on the slight breeze that blew through the air; like so many gray, translucent ghosts. Ghosts were all that remained of Nio anymore. Indeed, there was not on...

I enjoyed the second part of your journal, just as much as the first. This piece gives more insight into Tisha's home life with her mother and Larry, plus her relationship with both of them. I'll be reading the third entry as soon as I get the chance. Keep it up.
This moment that you captured may be a sad one, but I think it is also very insightful and well worth reading. I think it also shows that we always have the ability to achieve something that we are proud of and that others will remember us for; such as the little old lady who is a founding member of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers.
Your story is very interesting and I look forward to reading more of it. The descriptions of your characters and their personalities are very clear and make them all the more real to me. Especially the relationship between Tish and Anthony. I find their sibling rivalry to be realistic and natural, as well as Tish's feelings of jealousy towards Anthony always getting his way. I think you have a knack for this style of writing and I look forward to seeing what lays ahead for Tish and her family.
I enjoyed the entire sixth chapter of Isis Wept. The battle scene was really good, as it was fast-paced and gave a real sense of urgency. I could really feel Sanni's sorrow over the death of young Nefera as well. And I found Hordedev's torn decision between vengenance and duty, to be realistic and understandable.
I really enjoyed the prologue to the Child of Water. Your story has a good hook at the beginning that made me keep reading and keeps me anxious to find out what happens next. And now that Lylian, the one child who survived the Destroyer and is also the child of the Flowing Crystal's prophecy, has been captured to be sold into slavery, I am interested to see what happens to her next.
