Journal, Diary, & Blogging / What's wrong with me?

I don't know what the hell is wrong with me? I sit in my room and vegetate day after day. I don't want to go anywhere, see anyone or talk to anyone. Depression one might say. This is all too true, but there's more to it. I'm already on anti-anxiety meds as well as anti-depressants. Maybe a change in my meds? Maybe a change in scenery. Maybe I just need to make a change in my life status. Afterall, not living and feeling dead on the inside has come as easy to me as breathing. Maybe I need to ...

Jake and Glen left the Goldstein property, after apologizing for having to leave her son's room in such disarray. Once in the car the two men just sat there for a moment in silence. Jake's booming voice shattered the stillness. "What the hell is going on in this town Glen? I know it was bad before Katrina, but shit is going from bad to worse now. "I know Jake. This killer is getting bolder and bolder every day. We have gotta get a handle on this thing before any more people are killed. I'm j...

You came into my life, when I needed someone there. You made me feel my heart again, when I thought I would never care. You'll never know how much you touched me, my mind, my heart, my soul. For the first time in my life, you made me feel whole. You looked deep inside of me, and saw nothing but the best. Your tender way and words you speak, are nothing like the rest. You brought out the women in me, that no one else ever could. My world is so much brighter now, just like I knew it should. My ...

Jamison put down his burger and was about to open the report when Jake stopped him. "Glen, I know you're just as anxious to get to that file as I am. But damn it, you gotta eat. Just put it down. It's waited this long, another few minutes ain't going to matter." Glen looked at the folder and then at Jake. "I guess your right about that. I've just never had a case that's gotten under my skin like this one. Hardly any evidence. There's no suspects, no apparent motive and no witnesses. It's lik...

December 26th Jamison woke up the day after Christmas to the sound of banging on his door. He got up slowly, rubbing the stubble on his face, stumbling over his pants he had left in a pile on the floor and headed toward the door. He didn't like having to be roused up in such a manner. He preferred to wake up a little at a time and ease into the day. Dressed in only his boxers, he unlocked the door and opened it wide to see who had the nerve to be up so early. "Morning sunshine. Nice underwear...

December 27th It was Glen's turn to show up on his partner's doorstep. The two story home had been in Jake's family for generations. It had stood the test of time and temperature in one of the oldest parishes in Louisiana. It wasn't the biggest home on the block, but it was home none the less. Jake opened the door, already dressed for work with a cup of coffee in his hand. "Hey Glen. Come on in and take a load off. Want a cup of coffee?" "No thanks, If I drink any more coffee right now I'll b...

Jake and Glen headed toward the outskirts of town. The Goldsteins lived in a less affluent neighborhood than the Partridges, but the homes and yards were still very well kept up and were charming in appearance. They pulled up to a blue two story house similar to the style that Jake had. As they approached the front steps, they were almost knocked down by beautiful little girl racing past them on a tricycle. She couldn't have been more than four or five. From around the side of the house came...

Jamison sat at his desk with his hands running through his short, wavy brown hair. He needed facts. The majority of the forensic team took yesterday off along with Christmas day. Only a skeleton crew had worked and they had yet to give him the answers he needed to go forward. In addition to that, almost everyone else was off for the holiday, which made questioning difficult. No luck talking to anyone at the hospital- "We're sorry Detective Jamison. Our personnel in the records department is ...
