I am often described as an individual that gets along with everyone. People say that I’m funny, smart, and just a generally good person.
I’m a college student originally from New York. About 7 years ago, I moved to New England. Soon after, I began to write and I’ve been doing it ever since. I’ve written many things but I prefer to write poetry. Writing is a way of showing others another side of myself. I hope to share my skills one day with others, but for now, I will keep working toward my information Technology degree and most of all my writing. I came here to share my writings with others, to read from other writers.

Untitled XIX Somewhere far from buildings, with walls barely holding despair, I am home, belly filled with food, conversing with family. The ecstasy of gatherings overcomes me. You are less than a star in the space of my mind. You rest in a city whose name I can't remember, I.V. in your arm, holding walls of skin open, pushing a calm into unwelcoming veins. Your mother is in the ER, trembling with fear and praying. Shed called me from the hospital, told me the news, your rebirth as tabula ...

We were the stuff of dreams. Shining stars on seemingly endless nights. We burned bright, but slowly died as time reared its ugly head. There's nothing left for us now; just gravity, and cold earth. I wish we still exuded the warmth that we did back then. Maybe our fates would still be bright. I want to believe that someone should have kept us in space, but I can't. It wasn't their responsibility; it was ours. How can you blame them not doing anything? They were just astronomers watching the ...

I sit in my perch, eyes glowing, and slightly redened. I'd be enveloped in darkness if it weren't for moonbeams and night lights. They amaze me almost as much as my inability to sleep. Its 4am, and I've been up all night. I have to get ready for class in an hour. My life is a lunar one. I kiss the moon and wave goodbye to the sun. I should be traipsing through dreams and waiting for daybreak, but instead, I'm attempting to explicate my soul. Such tasks are impossible or perhaps unnecessary. I...

Poetry / Bebop Blues

As I saunter through this void that I call life, I realize that nothing has ever been certain. With cigarette slowly killing me, I travel abroad, with only thoughts of real folk blues and the jazz that I would create on Jupiter if I were to ever reach such a destination. Such fantasies should belong in dreams, but my life is but a dream and he fantasy and I are intertwined. It is my companion as I run from the creatures of the past. It is my oxygen; my blood; my ship; my crew; my sustanance. ...

White petals dance in the sky before ending their performance at my feet. Just as we think the show has ended, the wind blows and we dance once more. We have our waltz; the cold is our palace and the moonlight shines upon us making us the center of attention. This is a formal event so we come prepared. I wear a winter tuxedo made of feather filled coats, blue jeans, and dark boots. My beanie is my crown, because I am the king of the ball. These petals are my queen and so we dance. We dance un...

Wow.... All I have to say is wow. I really liked this piece. Although it is fine as a regular poem, one could interpret it as an spoken word poem. This piece has a very interesting ending. You kept me at the edge of my seat when it came to the end of the poem. I look forward to reading more poems from you. Until then, keep up the good work.
You wrote a very cute piece. You did very well with the concept of the poem. I liked how you put the piece in the point of view of the child. In addition, your rhymes rolled off the tongue. They seemed effortless and necessary. I didn't hear any cliche rhymes which is very good. I look forward to reading more of your pieces in the future. Keep up the good work, -Knight-
Short Story / Knight in Shining Armor
I really like this story. Its short and to the point. In addition, you could continue with it if you really wanted to. You successfully put a fair amount of detail in those few sentences. I look forward to reading more short stories by you in the future. -Knight-
Poetry / Flesh on Love
This piece is descriptive, and its thought provoking. Its so thought provoking that it flirts with being vague. It took me a few reads before I could fully analyze the poem. Its a good poem, and has an interesting subject matter. I look forward to reading more from you in the future. Keep writing, M.C
This piece is giving me a spoken word piece vibe. I can imagine someone reciting it an open mic poetry night. The poem is fairly descriptive, raw, and hard hitting. Its one of the few poems on this site that I've seen address such an issue. The poem is in your face and thats what I liked about it. I thoroughly enjoyed the piece. Keep writing, MC
