In March of 1983, I came up with the original idea for my CAPT. GAGE script. In 1992, I graduated CSU, Fresno, with a BA in English. I also majored in Radio/TV. In 1996 I joined the Historical Friends of Clan MacLeod, a Renaissance-faire guild that portrayed a 16th-Century Scottish clan. My five years with them were the main inspiration for my current screenplay in progress, RENNIES. Watch for it: I may be posting what I’ve written of it soon.

As for these postings of GAGE: it turned out the entire screenplay wouldn’t fit in one posting space. So I simply posted the rest of the script in a second space and titled it CAPT. GAGE-CONTINUED.

I can be counted on to shine Like the North Star during Christmastime It's the time of year the world gets a face lift That into New Bethlehem, transforms it With the reds and greens of the season I for one can see the reason December has a soundtrack all its own As we ride into the Christmas Zone. Trips up north, I make two Rivers of spiked eggnog pass through you It's the grand finale of the year The time when Jesus' birthday's near Here at the calendar's end, every day Is gift-wrapped i...

Flipped on the radio this morning And away the music was taken Replaced by news that an attack Has the global community shaken Out of the Big Apple Someone took a bite They topples some buildings, but not our ideals One thing it did was unite Compatriots on the ground, Over seas and in the air WTF, the world cried From nations everywhere. 4000 miles from Ground Zero Mom cries in front of the TV Because the old hometown Isn't what it used to be The Gotham sky burst into flames Because someon...

So you think I’ll fight my bank book For your company That my brothers and I were bred To bankroll your existence? Well pull up a street corner where you belong Once there, Lady Luck might flash you the same smile You’re always flashing my wallet I’d rather invest in a real girlfriend And any girlfriend of mine, you’ll never be You’re nothing, except a profiteer, maybe You blaspheme the very word feminine By wearing it to mask Your ulterior dating motives. &...

CELESTE It's you. It's really you. How did you do it? How did you get here? GAGE (laughs) How did I do it? I jumped Rygon when he wasn't looking. Then the Enforcers tried to pull me off him, but I single-handedly held my own against all of them. He starts doing karate chops and spinning kicks while Celeste watches with a smile. GAGE Then I leaped aboard a nearby escape craft and took it here. I had to blast a whole attack fleet out of the sky to make it here in one piece. But it was worth it ...

Sci Fi & Fantasy / Winds Of Change Ch 3
Wow! As a science fiction writer myself sometimes, I must say that this is an impressive and promising piece. It's important that you've set up your characters, which is apparently the aim of this part. Then again, that's how it reads for me, as I haven't read any previous segments. I think I've been out of the Urbis loop a bit long. You do a good job of remembering that you're dealing with different species here. The concept of some obiospheres having different atmospheres for different spec...
Crime, Thrillers & Mystery / Triad
This is an interesting piece. I can see where there's going to be supernatural emements, or at least mystery. The part in the bar almost reminds me of Sex and the City briefly or something like that. They spend a lot of evenings drinking on that show. I think the story lays everything out without confusing the reader who pays attention. It demands that you pay attention to what you're reading, because you kind of ask yourself what the cops ask themselves and each other. At the end, I like the...
Crime, Thrillers & Mystery / The Horror of Sweet Magnolia Scent #212
I was fortunate enough to read the first installment, and the story here takes a turn into surrealism. This makes it read much differently from the first installment. Parts of it are very erotic. Even in the first installment, I liked the descriptions of Dominga Cruz. Apparently, Mortimer's trying to get rid fo some fear that he doesn't seem to be aware of. We'll see how long it takes for him to figure out what it is so he can get rid of it. The 'special effects' descriptions, such as with th...

Non-fiction / Mt. Fuji
Wow! It's a real-life Indiana Jones story! This piece showed in a straightforward manner you and you friend's spirit of adventure and persistence as you tackled Mt. Fuji. You showed a lot of forsight by putting things in plastic bags in case of the storm. Many people no doubt forget. The writing is simple and straightforward. No pretentious or overindulgent grammatical devices. I'm sure such parts of speech are used often in non-fiction as well as fiction. It's always good to avoid them, or a...
Action Adventure / The Trojan War: Chapter 3
Well done. You've got a good grip on the dialogue and your characters, though there a lot of them in this segment. The theme of war is very familiar when it comes to stories with this time and place setting. I imagine it's very commercial. I found the conversation about one of the men trying on women's clothing and not liking women (he probably resents them) interesting, and different for this type of story. Everyone's so macho that the scene is no less tense thatn the rest of the story. Ever...
