Writing a description of myself is like writing my own eulogy.  Whatever I say is going to sound facetious and self-serving . . . AND SO WHAT? . . . THAT’S WHY WE’RE HERE. . .STOP LYING TO YOURSELF . .  WE’RE ALL JUST SELFISH INDIVIDUALS CRAVEN FOR ATTENTION . . . oh never mind . . . Nice to meet you.  I’m Charlotte.

I love the smell of spring in the air-the fresh cut grass, new flowers, sea breezes from my local beach. They all signal the same thing-life beginning all over again, the start of something new. Even the word "spring" suggests a launch of some kind that makes one (allergies and all) want to run out and breathe it all in at once and get high from the energy. Growing up I couldn't even imagine someone not liking . . . Correction . . . make that Loving spirng. Until I met this artist. He was a f...

Why Men Don't Want Your Baggage . . . It has recently come to my attention that women may be a little judgemental on the guys . . . aw, hey now, give me a chance ladies before you call me traitor & turncoat. But I can really see where these guys come from when they complain about how women just can't seem to appreciate a good thing when they have it, or how our previous attitudes, (whether nurtured from home or manipulated & soured by life's hardknocks), tend to serve as our downfall sometime...

This is a great title for an important piece. With such a hot topic, it's nice to read a different, not-so-judgemental, point of view. Unfortunately, there are major spelling and grammatical errors which make reading the piece slightly more laborious than it should be.
Flash Fiction / Three Acts in Three Blocks
You have struck a perfect balance between humor and deep self reflection. That was the longest one block ever, and i enjoyed every word of it with you. The battle you have with yourself over the poetic language mirrors the battle within you over the future. A short piece, but well layered with deeper significance.
Flash Fiction / One Sided Conversation
I love your voice. It's got character and flavor. You are very blunt and matter-of-fact about the story and it's events. The detachment of emotion in the narration matches the cold narcisism (sp?) of the birds. This is within the context of a recorded audio tape relaying this as a bedtime story to children. Your description of the voice on the tape is also well done. I can imagine the tone of the narrator's voice in my head. I think you should continue writing these stories in your voice with...
Flash Fiction / The Picture
I really like the beginning of this piece. It drew me in with the implied emotion from sweat beading on your forehead. I did get lost, however. Between the first and second paragraph there seems to be a disconnect. In other words, in seems that you were drawing and then looking through a journal but I don't get the action or motivation that leads to the journal. Did the picture stir emotion in you to make you want to look through the journal? I feel myself needing to know more. You are a soph...
What I love about this intro is the surprise point of view. I was not expecting the dog at all, and it forced me to go back & reread from the beginning--twice. Now, I love that kind of writing. In fact I search for that type of story, especially in film. However, I also know in conversation with others, some people are very put off when they have to go back to decode the story before they can comprehend the story. I honestly don't know if there needs to be a remedy for that, but I suppose it'...
