I like it! Fits the limerick scheme perfectly and is very warm, uplifting, and relative to Ireland.
Interesting write. I enjoyed the contrast between the dark life "He" lived and the light he shines. So much going on in this poem. He's sometimes bright, dark, stands out or remains hidden, up or down, still or drifting, but always beautiful to his lover. He truly is everything to this woman, and for that, she loves him. Awesome!
Nice! I'm assuming the apples represent the children, who I'm guessing are literally homeless, but what I see is people who are merely children in this world and are trying to keep faith that the darkness of our time will pass and things will be good again.
An obvious statement, but not something one often thinks about. We can say untrue things, but we're not really lying unless we know what we say is different from the truth.
