Poetry / The Storm
Version 1

The dark sky kisses the the thick air Hot and sticky my body is moist with sweat The thunder rolls in the distance The rain starts slowly at first Then in one split second flooding rain Drenched to my core I shiver The fear of lightning in my heart A crack and a strike The bright blue light of the lightning Strikes the ground infront of me I ramble short prayers As I run quickly to shelter The beauty of the storm calms my fears And I feel safe once more.

Love is hard Hate is easy Blackened wings withered Torn Bare skin covered softly Bruised heart gently beats Crested moon shines dimly Tears sting weary eyes Bird of prey feeds Flesh torn slow Beastly laughs echo Spiritless eyes watch Messages engraved in snow Crys for help "unheard" Head throbs Pain takes over.. Everything.

Take me to a field of daisies Brush my hair from my eyes Kiss softly my freckled cheek As we watch a slow sunrise Smell the sweet aroma Of dew bathed flowers all around Feel the earth below our naked feet But never make a sound. Lay with me in that field of daisies Hold me tight don't let go Give me these few short moments No one else will have to know.                    -DLCW

In the dark of night Secretly I fall to your feet Weak, broken, full of uncertainty Submission beaming from within You kick my hands away I am not worthy of your greatness Of your love, your friendship No words are spoken Not a second look, cast my way I lay weeping upon the floor As the night becomes morning light And I must pretend I am strong.

His bass is his mistress The best whore he's ever had He can play her as hard or as soft as he wants She serenades him just the way he likes it Making him perspire on both of them He has never felt more free The chaotic energy binds them Six string kink I live vicariously through her Jealous of his passion for her I crave the ablilty to give him the thrill That only his bass can.

Moments became years And now I don't know you You don't know me We aren't the people we used to be We are shells of those young lovers Pennies in a fountain rusted over Their wishes ungranted Tears have dried And life went on Now we stand here face to face Two fimilar strangers Hearts racing, eyes smiling Different lives with different lovers Ashes become flames once again But were they ever ashes Or smoldering red ambers Slowly the people we were emerge Softly we blow out th...

Call me at night when the moon is bright And the lights are dark all around you When sleep has lost you to waked things And the days events bombard you We’ll make tea and talk of things Like friends who’ve never parted Saying things that old friends do About how friendship started As your head falls heavy upon your pillow And your voice trails to a whispered goodnight I gently whisper rested dreams my friend A single kiss blown to the wind In hopes that it  finds you to...
