o_o (sniff) Deceptively simple, and gently powerful. This is a wonderful piece. Even if it did make me want to cry.
It seems like you have a nicely developed world here. The only thing I found strange was the amount of information that you added to this, which wasn't strictly speaking needed for this amount of the plot.
