Bill considers himself a poet under construction. Having taught school for over 35 years, he is now retired. Ever the teacher, he leads a writers group in Riverhead, New York. Two of his poems were published in Decision, and several others won awards from Bylines and Writer’s Digest. In 2003, his poem “Upside Down” won the Higher Goals in Christian Journalism award from the Evangelical Press Association. Bill’s book of Easter poems, Footsteps to the Resurrection, was published in 2005 by Winepress. His poems also appear on the Argo website , and the Ghazal Page .

Very funny!! I liked the "under" following the three "over"s, although the title is overdoing it I think.
Well, the "marked down to move" is an cute play on words. Yes, I see both the Filene's Basement sale items reference and the writer's goal of moving the reader with the words marked down on paper. The first two words, however, I found confusing. I guess you want to convey that what you marked down on paper came from your heart, but then that doesn't go with the sales reference. It implies you're ready to give your heart away at a cut-rate price, not having found any buyers willing to pay full...
