Every time she looks in her beat up old shoe box filled with memories, the first thing she sees is the half a dozen dead roses. She picks them up so gently, in fear that they would fall apart into a pile of dust. Every time she sees the half a dozen dead roses, she recalls the night he gave them to her. She got off the bus on that cold November night; she turned the corner to see him waiting at her door. Her eyes lit up, her heart pounded and chills ran up her spine. It’s been months since sh...

What satisfies you, oh damned one? What feeds your empty soul? When you release the beast that rattles in your bones, you remember why you spent so much time alone. You say you love it, yet you can't handle it on your own. Your transparent charm, your crocodile smile, lasts only for a short while. Your face turns green, you commit treason. You waste time on pathetic excuses, not the real reason. Your lonely life, your unwanted birth, your lost quest for a purpose on the earth. Live your life ...

A long time ago there lived a very young man and a very young woman who were in love. Not only were they very poor, but their families were, too. They were young and in love and oblivious to the rest of the world around them. They thought they had all the time in the world to grow up. One night as the young girl was sleeping, an angel came to her in her dream and said that very soon she will have a baby boy and she will name him Nathaniel. When the girl woke up she thought that it was just a ...

So, Gwen turned eleven and Perry turned thirteen. That’s where everything started to go downhill. They made real friends and became busy with school. Before we knew it, Gwen and Perry were going to a boarding school out of state and their parents got so lonely in the big house all by themselves, that they bought a smaller one. Before you think of jumping, Please remember that with out you, I'm nothing. Before you think of giving up, Please know that these passed few years weren't enough. Before you start to believe that it's really so bad, Just think of all the good times we had. When you think that nothing good can come from you, Just know that I think the world of you And that you're too good to be true. There's still a whole world you never got to explore, and there's nothing about you I don't adore. Please don'...

That was really really good. I liked it a lot. I love the way it flowed. Most poems start out pretty boring and get interesting after the first few lines (like mine) but this kept my eyes glued since the very beginning.
wow this is a really cool poem. I love the way you wrote it and everything =] I'm assuming the whole farming thing were metaphores for the "farmer's" mistakes in life and things they didn't earn and just.. not giving enough? That was a stupid question lol but that's the impression I got from it.
that was very touching. it almost made me tear. its extremely well written and hits very close to home
wow this was a very deep limerick. I felt the deepness in the craziness of kodo and I really understood just how lazy jasmine is by the way you so emotionally described her fatness. this has really changed my life.
