This version seemed to flow better than the last one, and a bit of the aggression in the beginning was done away with between the two boys. while it is sad to see Tommy sort of lie down and take it, it showed a good amount of passiveness that only emphasized how out of line the bully was. Before I was a bit hung up on the use of the word Faggot in this story, but now that I think about it, it works alright with the slightly less usage of it. I really liked this story; it had an interesting and refreshingly different plot to it. I like the idea of naming the chapters after Tarot cards too. The language seems to be where you want it, not too difficult, but not too easy. I think an older child could grasp it with maybe just a tiny bit of help. The imagery is very nice also, I really got a good mental image of your descriptions, especially the Tiger Raja. It was wonderful to see you take over used, cliche jungle animals and make them...
This story, I think, was very heartwarming. The felling of closeness and love between them was convincing and realistic. I'm glad to see more literature like this popping up on urbis, children's stories that teach them tolerance and understanding of others' lifestyles, including homosexuality. It is a very good tool.
