All too often, we at times, take simplicity for granted. Our days are fraught with mundane cycles of habit, whether we enjoy it or not. Waking up to the repetitive squabbling of the alarm, listening to the radio on the way to work (that sounds just as interesting as Charlie Brown’s teacher), going to a job where you know how to do your boss’s work as well as your co-workers, yet somehow he or she makes substantially more than you and then to end the day with redundant necessary personal chores.  Yes, all of those actions are simplistic; however it’s basic with demanding stress backing it in the rear.  When was the last time you enjoyed a leisurely stroll through a park, looked out your window to see the brillance of the blue sky or even …

Waking up to the repetitive squabbling of the alarm, listening to the radio on the way to work (that sounds just as interesting as Charlie Brown’s teacher), going to a job where you know how to do your boss’s work as well as your co-workers, yet somehow he or she makes substantially more than you and then to end the day with redundant necessary personal chores.  Yes, all of those actions are simplistic; however it’s basic with demanding stress backing it in the rear.  When was the last time you enjoyed a leisurely stroll through a park, looked out your window to see the brillance of the blue sky or even more exciting to see lightning flash horizontally, or even more effortless, when was the last time you smiled at an elderly person, or someone of a different race?  My passion is finding joy in the simple things of life, creation and others.  I love writing, as it is a perfect accomplice for my imagination, I love my painting as it vividly portrays my mood and I love my photography as it captures the beauty of my surroundings in a snap shot of what my eyes see.  So, I challenge you, I dare you even, to set forth with no radio, television or idle chatter.  Take a moment (a week would be better), to turn it all off, look at the world around you and see that not everything is so methodical and you really can find entertainment in the little things.
