I have my BA in English.  I absolutely love writing poetry hence the reason I took three poetry writing classes in college.  I generally write about things that effect me like most writers, but try to give my own perspective on things.  If you need to know anything more about me check out www.myspace.com/Ki_Mi

Singing Out of key To my own tune And it is you Plucking the strings Of an overridden melody Downtrodden through the words The “I love you” of yesterday Discarded in a puddle It never rains here Scattered showers are always Lingering in the humidity Ripped hair from roots Falls onto bare shoulders Anger, never shared with you Love, never shared with you Poured false perfection Falling through the mist Onto your tattered cap Drifting in silence to another puddle And that was today’s “I love yo...

The meticulous list Everything I am not And everything I am The girl that falls down Upon the brick mortar stairs, Predecessors to your home, Lacking the usual rock salt Crusty not pie sweet Lick the palms clean And the debris falls from my lips No gentle eyes Peer from behind the curtains Only a dim of criticism Radiates from the living room. The ice The heels The vodka I should have known. The girl that wakes up On the mildewed sofa, A stranger’s relaxation, The dense fog Of an unknown colo...

The exhaustion of unlit cigarettes Falls into you lap At dawn She is not in your dreams Reality is a curse The invigoration of blank pages The revolver rests on the globe Fallen from an apprehension Only slightly dents the world Residue lingers under a manicure The marred milk of skin Swoons onto oriental patterns Scarlet letter from a temple Stains your legacy, Runs the ink on her pages. The verbs never meet the nouns In the grace of absence, The grandeur of fatality. All you have are adject...

Is this rabbit hole proverbial or tangible; is the dirt from its damp walls able to collect underneath my neglected manicure? Either way, I can’t remember when it was exactly that I fell. Recollections of a dream flutter in my twilight consciousness, but dreams don’t have the ability to transcend into actuality. Although, the dream was very similar to ones that people actual believe happen in the time span of the night before. I can still see myself clear as day running, tripping over the bul...

Cross over Existence St. on the way to the village known as Conscious Subconscious. Once you get there, and you’ll know when you get there, make a left toward Libertine. Whatever you do, Do Not Go Right! That is unless you enjoy muggings, rape, and murder. If that’s your bag, by all means go right. Just don’t say I gave you those directions. Assuming you went left, as I instructed, leave your checkbook with the guard at the entrance. He’ll keep it in a lock box for you for when you eventually...

Quotes / Six Word Memoir
The sense of defeat is overwhelming and at the same time I'm hopeful. It makes you wonder did things change because you couldn't or did they change because you actually did.
The usage of strong language always intrigues me, possibly because I am not so bold to use it frequently. I must say that I love the way it is used here. Very good descriptives, and while I am still in the vastness of understanding what is going on here I like it. Something about this just pulls the reader in and makes them want to dissect and figure it all out. Then again, maybe that's just me.
Flash Fiction / 6 word memoir
I like it. It sums up a feeling of failed attempts. Those 6 words really give a lot when you think about them. Well done!

Non-fiction / Six- Word Memoir
I like it. I think it sums me up as well. In fact I have the words "Live Love Write" tattooed on my back. It's simple and true. Honestly, what else is there? I'm definitely going to have to see if I can do this whole 6 word memoir thing.
