Poetry / Who Said?
Version 1
1 Review   0 Comments
I am certainly not a damsel in distress, no need to save me. I know where I'm going, no need to tell me I'm lost. Who said I must follow your path, to a truth, that was passed down, from this one, that one, and then on to you. A possible truth that became, re-worded, re-worked, and eventually, an untruth that you claimed, so let's see how many people you can get, to believe in this hypocrisy. But I digress... Who said I was wrong in my path? Who determines what lies become truths, what truths...

Poetry / Become

I have become cynical, and I just can't help myself. Those who ask of me, intelligently, will find I am more than just this skin, those eyes, that sexual air of unknown, behind a smile. I have become frustrated, and a slip of the tongue, just can't be held back. Those who see me for less, than these 29 years, those who lack the will to freely, give me what is rightfully earned, banished stupidity, child-like naivety, unlike themselves, I claim no drama filled atmosphere. I have become ME, in ...

Poetry / Lady

What it is to be a lady... It is, this walking illusion that begs to be grasped by another's eye, caught inside a vortex of beauty, no words have to be spoken, for cause and effect and still... A lady of wisdom, power beyond what is imagined, tempermental at times due to being seen as second class, It is, more than enjoyment for that pleasure seeking manliness that believes control is his, care to re-think that one, and still... This walking illusion that so many want to grasp between tongue ...

Poetry / Who That Be?
Version 1

Who that be? Hell bent on spying into my window, of knowledge, conception, constant consideration for those who want to amount to nothing. Dust slipping through fingers, bold and gentle. Who that be? He,she,we are all spying upon one another, no other way to be in this learned behavior. Who am I but my future child, here and unborn to so many things. Who that be? Hell bent on breaking my window. Powerful assumptions, curses and insults, fall upon broken and twisted glass bottom, tear drops of...

I loved this poem,The best line "Trying to be fair to your heart is Almost killing mine" If only minds could be read and feelings could be seen on the sleeve for all to see.No more confusion.Great job :)

You can't help who you love, like, lust after. If only it were as simple as sending thoughts and walking away.Kissing and never telling.Feeling all that comes with this territory without hurting yourself and another.I liked this poem in all it's heartbreak.I feel your words and your pain...
Poetry / Acting Your Age
I loved this poem.I took notice of your age and I must say these words that you have given life to run through the minds of every age,constantly...from the moment we can conjure a thought until we leave this earth.Good job :)

I really liked the feeling and flow of this poem. The lines "Like I’m always supposed to save myself-But I just couldnt find the strength to" disturbs the flow. The words seemed like they were added as an after thought. The last stanza is what stands out for me...
Poetry / Fuck you
I so feel the anger of pain within every single word of this poem. The last line "just let me fall" leaves me wanting to know how/when did you get back up and did you seek revenge... I like this poem for selfish reasons,I can relate :)
