SUBSPACE I slept in a doorway last night. As it was an office block and, as it was Saturday night, I wasn’t disturbed by anybody on Sunday morning; the cold of the pavement woke me up. At first I thought I was dreaming, until my eyes began to focus, and then I realised I was fully dressed and warm in my overcoat and scarf. I began to collect my thoughts. I’d been out with some school friends; an annual get-together; guys who’d known me since I was a virgin. We’d taken ...

The Prisoner And The Laundress Ding! “What now?” she thought. Still in her kimono and slippers, just padded over to the other side of the room and sat down at her laptop again. “Brenda! Do I have the patience to talk to my sister?” Ding! “Alright, bitch, I know you need to talk!” “Hey!” she typed. “Hey, sis!” “You okay?” typed Veronica, knowing full well what her sister would say. “Not really.” Roni looked around the room for her drink. Her cup was on the other side of the room. “What’s up?”...

It intrigued me and then made me laugh. Very few things make me laugh. People make me laugh but no fiction. I must confess, I don't know what a 'drabble' is. Is it a dramatic babble? Would I read a bathroom-sized book full of stuff like this? Hell, yeah! Unless it was making me laugh too hard and affecting my bowel movement!
It's a really interesting premise for a story. The idea of falling in love with a ghost is both romantic but also tragic. I look forward to seeing every aspect of this relationship explored and also to discovering more about the characters. How did she die? Was he always spiritual? It's a very good idea and well worth totally exploring very angle. It might also be worthwhile having an opinion about unrequited love. Can it sometimes be more fulfilling that consumation? In this extract, we seem...
Erm ... don't stop now ... what happens next? More to the point: what the fuck is going on? Actually, don't worry, I don't mind that I don't know what's going on. This is a high-speed rollercoaster and I like it! Who are they? The Ignorance Police? Are they rounding-up the educated and exterminating them? And, if so, why? I'm intrigued. I want to know more about Greanna. How did she get to be in charge? Is she 'diddling' the Commander-In-Chief too? Bouncy, evervescent and easy to read.

Interesting idea. So much religion is illogical and hypocritical, they should show this piece to kids in their Religious Education classes. This has a Dr. Suess-like story-telling quality which I appreciate. When I saw the name Father Abraham, I thought you were going to make mention of The Smurfs, but that would probably be sacreligious. It doesn't feel like poetry but writing it as a poem seems the right thing to do. There are so many points and barbed comments, having it as a poem makes it...
