Death is near; he calls my name in the screams of dying men. They echo through the blood soaked ground and escape in the chill of the night. I will greet him, death; with a passionate heart and a prayer on my lips. I am too young to die, but are not life and death a mere reflection in God’s eye.

I live in the past but look to the future and some how I lose myself in the present. I forget to live, I forget to love, and then I just forget. Stop. Think. I have a golden lab or more likely part lab/part mongrel but nonetheless a puppy. He’s lying under my bed a bit wet after a long bath doing what he does best – wreaking havoc.
