About me:
unique, esoteric personality forged from a lifetime of experiences earned mostly in the west (Los Angeles, California to Fairbanks, Alaska) and in France, tempered by extensive travel in Mexico, Europe, Morocco, and Bali. I may find uninteresting, those who can not relate to the wider world. The study of other cultures, really intrigues me and collecting music, recipes, and traditional/cultural objects from around the world is a pleasure I would fancy sharing with others. I enjoy reading, and have an extensive library, some of my favorite writers being Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Cavafy, and Rumi. I am at home in either a cosmopolitan or wilderness setting, and like film, music, literature and poetry, hard-ons, cooking and…

Poetry / Surrogate Summer

Surrogate Summer, molten choice, unwind your Saturnalian tale and bring to voice remembrances of what is warm and golden, yet shows too cold & pale in Winter’s stolen sunlight. Sing each syllable to escape this silent crucible of ice into the mutable, and without heeding gravity’s pleadings, to float on waves of sound. It is, at first just faintly heard, a whisper of the thing preferred, that swells until it fills the ear within the minds of you, so dear… insatiable in your desire, to h...

In suspension of disbelief... An uncertain harmony shall rise to gather moments as flowers from the field. Spilling scent on rising airs, and to the wind the strains and cares of those who hear or dare to sing the song of Song’s pure melody.

Poetry / Neverending Poem
"Neverending" I see great ideas here. If I am understanding what I read, I feel that some slight changes might bring a clarity that escapes some of the lines. Perhaps: ...storms forth like troops at Normandy unable to stop the phobia that attaches itself to the flames of burning freedom... ...the obscure belief... ...an agenda played out behind the mask of civil war... etc. Just a thought!
Good work, about a subject that for some weird reason never seems to get resolved. Your writing is clear and beautifully reinforced with fact. It is sadly obvious that the people of this world need to be reminded over and over again, when things that can and should be changed, aren't. Speak out, and continue your writing!
What dark fun for a piece about an albino! Don't know on which side of the "poetry - prose fence" to place this work, but the humor is sharp, and the story tells a colorful "glass of water". I would like to see pages and pages of this stuff! I am reminded of the great, bent writing that master artist Donald Roller Wilson uses to narrate his wonderful paintings--something to peruse on his web-site, if anyone is interested.
Poetry / Wary Skies
The author's sensibilty (sensitivity) is in the right place, but the poem reads unevenly. It would be a good thing if the author would break the lines in a way that will allow the piece to "read" more smoothly...
Short Story / [rave]nous taste
The structure is great. A surreal bit of existentialism. The concept of massive amounts of blood from an unknown source is a great pique to the reader's curiousity. One has to wonder if the story is about a human or some other life form. No clues to assuage one's wondering.
