It was a cold, dark night filled with wicked fright, When I strolled onto Moriner Lane. The street was bare and just standing there. Alone, was my lady Jane. Her dress was mucked and her hair was tucked, Behind her bloody ear. I was so distraught that my breath caught, In the dark face of fear. I looked to the skies, then closed my eyes, As my heart openly bled. It could not be that she was here with me, For, my lady Jane was dead. My sore head spun when she had begun To speak alou...

Blackboards, notebooks, pens and chalk, All my teacher does is talk. Homework, rulers, mounds of clay, I have to be here every day. Desks and chairs made out of wood, I would stay home if I could. Pencils, crayons, yellow busses, I don’t see what all the fuss is. Then again, I like my friends, Who think that playtime never ends. Toys and cars are lots of fun, And stacking blocks one by one. Paint on paper, art on walls, Aren’t so bad after all. Having fun with ABCs I love to count my 123s. Le...

On a bright and sunny day near a deep, blue pond, Little Andy Daniels found a magic wand. He tried to cast spells by the bright, yellow flowers, Hoping that the wand had magical powers. He tried to turn a duck into a big, white goat. Tried to make a rocket from a little wooden boat. He tried changing daisies into tiny red roses. He tried to give a bunny seven extra noses! Andy stood beside an ancient maple tree. “Why won’t this wand do magic for me?” With no “Abra Cadabras” left for him to sa...

I once had an elegant style, While living in Em'rald Isle. I'd pluck four leaf clovers, And turn them all over, To place on my head in a pile.

The snow fell lightly on a quiet street in mid-January. The clock struck midnight as the winds picked up their ferocity. Only one streetlamp on the street was lit, its orange glow falling on the front window of a tiny cottage. It was the only sign of life for miles, or so it seemed. The occupant of the cottage was an elderly man. This man spent his days and nights alone, sitting by the fire, recollecting on memories he’d soon forget. His mind was slowly ebbing away, and so he spent his time ...
