Poetry / Hallows Eve

I see the sun set, And watch as the moon rises bringing a cool breeze to rustle the leaves still clinging to the dead trees. Children walk around, Scary costumes, But familiar faces all gather round. My bowl of candy I hand out, And as the cherished children scatter, My husband jumps out at them dressed as a killer, Plastic silver gathers the moon light and reflects a smiling witch staring at me. Her orange pumpkin held out in plea, Asking me for some candy, I look down, Chocolates and sucke...

“Elas” A small seven year old voice asked, “Yes Rose?” Elas looked at Rose, violet eyes wide with concern. “Oh, nothing like that Elas….. Just, I was thinking about those flowers from science class again….” Elas couldn’t help but giggle…. “Can I promise to get them for you one day, so you’ll leave them alone.” Rose crossed her legs, and swung them over the bench avoiding Elas’s gaze for prolonged minutes, ...

Poetry / Drugs and Death

By day I am me, By night I am who I’m not. My bones twist, My heart breaks, My tears are poison, My blood is blue, My bodies breaking, My mind is shaking, Sweet drugs I call thee, My forms and shapes are foreign to thine eyes, How dare those who do not know, My addiction is very slow, How deadly they must be, Dealing drugs to me, What’s wrong with me? My children don’t recognize me, My husband quit knowing me, I don’t care who I am, I just need your love, Sweet undenia...

The Bones, How they smile, How they glisten, On this all Hallows Eve night, Shall we pray, The bones, How they dance in the sky to the witches cry, How the skeletons smiling body twists and turns in the pain of loss, How the skeletal grin of the cracked forehead haunt the children’s night time visions, buried in the dirt of long ago, They scratch at the coffins, wooden doors break free, Some cackle, Some cry, Often times they die, Covered in dirt and mud they slide back to their homes,...

Fire Rivers, Brimstone fields, Hells battleground worn down, Tired of fighting, Tired of seeing, Mortals run and hide, A new dawn, A new tide, A starry sky, A moon lit night to brighten the fight, Who’s winning? Nobody knows, Mortals choose sides and die either way, But for an immortal, Each hour is a new day, Tired of trying, Tired of dying, Neither side loses, Neither side wins, How time flies by when both worlds crashed into one, They fight tearing each other limb from limb, How the ...

Short Story / Spider's web
The story was cute and sad. I love how you made the spider bite the old man, which made the story sad. Their were some missing words. Make sure you double check your writings before posting or submitting somewhere, because missing words can confuse your readers.
I love the way you conveyed your passion and love for this person, the sadness was real. You have a wonderful writing style, keep it up.
Poetry / Water Street
The poem is sad, but it brings light to situations that nobody really wants to talk about outloud. Drinking parents are a terrible thing for children to live with. Your poem spoke out loud and clear, I could feel the emotion from fear to peace. Its a wonderful poem, keep writing this way.
Poetry / Knight's Code
This poem is wonderful and deep, "We must defeat these shadows of the mind, And conquer mountains that we did not raise" is the perfect way to describe life and the problems we face within our selves and those around us. You have an amazing knack for writing, keep it up!
Poetry / Reach
That was really sweet and sad at the same time, I love the symbolism of the White Castle and the wording was excellent!
