Not on top of the worlds priority list Doesn’t have any resources of monetary value That's worth the head ache And death of innocent lives isn’t Total annihilations wouldn’t be a great loss So who is left to help the dying innocent? When they are no financial gain in it for the world Then innocent lives aren’t as important So a prayer for the refugees of Darfur Hoping for a proximity of peace in this life time

And even though for us it’s not yet a pandemic Our day may only be a breath away But for the nations that are fighting for there survival That clock as already began ticking away And they are running out of time People are dying by the hundreds each day So casting blind eyes can’t go on, Invisibility doesn’t live anywhere anymore Because AIDS doesn’t discriminate It isn’t too late to win the war on AIDS But if we continue to play this wait and see game Then we all might as well live each day ...

So much for the element of surprise, I’ve seen it all in my lifetime, The rise and fall of nations, The leaders that came and went, Winners and losers, life and death… Love and hate, peace and war … Joy and sadness, wealth and poverty… Truth and lies, bold and cowardly… Innocence’s found and loss, Tolerance and intolerance, Growth and stagnation, Intelligence and ignorance, Freedom and oppression, So much for the element of surprise, I can’t be anymore.
