A WANDERING HEART 2008 Fade in: EXT. WINDSWEPT ANTARCTIC SEAS day. SONG ‘10,000 MILES’ plays as giant waves and howling winds sweep across the surface of the sea. Seabirds can be seen riding the wind between the waves, amongst them, a wandering albatross, which becomes the focus of the scene. The bird has a strained, tired look about him as he scans the surface for food. His only distinguishing feature is a lone feather sticking up on top of his head. He continues to fly and finally reaches s...

Prologue Revelation 12:7-9. ‘Then a war broke out in Heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, who fought back with his angels; but the dragon was defeated, and he and his angels were not allowed to stay in Heaven any longer. The huge dragon was thrown out-the ancient serpent named the Devil or Satan, that deceived the whole world. He was thrown down to Earth and all his angels with him’ Heaven’s Tears The people on Earth thought nothing of the rain that drenched their cities ...

Michael and the Tree of Life The War, the Worries and the Amulet Michael Candour wriggled his bottom about to get comfortable on the griffin-feather floor rug, turned his bright blue eyes towards the great rocking chair and said “please Grandpa, tell me about the Great Dividing War” ‘Before our stand against the Evil Enemy, Aurithia hadn’t been the free land it is today. It was once ruled by the most evil of creatures, called Belial, the Master of Malice. Everyday he grew stronger, with the h...

Michael and the Tree of Life The War, the Worries and the Amulet ‘Aurithia wasn’t always a free land. It was once ruled by the most evil of creatures, called Belial, the Master of Malice.’ ‘Everyday he grew stronger, with the help of his evil armies, who rose up out of Hellsdoom and covered all of Aurithia in darkness’ ‘Not a soul was safe, for Belial wouldn’t rest until he’d overthrown Lord Dimitri and his host of Angelic rulers but the powers they possessed were too strong for the creature ...

Scars and Stripes Inspired by true events. Dedicated to the tigers and their keepers at Tiger Island Dreamworld. “Hey Roxy, Uncle Ke-ke is gonna tell us a story” cried my youngest Grand-cub Tippy, running over to the stone structure where I was lying. I am not the most beautiful tiger in the world; my youthful looks were stolen from me when my brother committed the most unspeakable crime in my life. My coat, once sleek, shiny and glowing with youthful radiance, has been reduced to a shadow of...

The beginning is very captivating and the lack of grammar suggests a tough, poorly educated person. It sounds like a mob-ruled area, where kids have to resort to swindling and dealing drugs to survive. I loved the way the narrator talked, rough, intimidating and wild, which said a lot about his character. The way you find out about his backstory was inventive; he'd been dumped, had no where else to go and a beautiful girl was willing to listen to his problems. The killing was very chilling bu...
Nice beginning but the use of the word 'soft' in the first two paragraphs was a little repetitive; maybe another word would create more effect, say 'gentle' or 'subtle' I loved the description of the farmhouse and the reference to 'Gone with the Wind' gave the exact mental image as the words described. The interesting comment Katie made about the crying little girl draws the reader in and starts the question mill turning in their minds; whi is she, where has she come from, what does she want?...
very good prologue, the description of the driving force, the rage and the pain were well executed and the howl at the end seemed to convey the fact that the creature was a werewolf. the confrontation of the two wolves was well played out, as was Erik's reaction to their battle. the part where the black wolf won and persued him created great, edge-of-your-seat suspense. it is a shock when the black wolf rips into erik's hand then simply walks off into the forest. the grey wolf was obviously t...
