I am a sixteen year old girl from Texas. I love life here, but more importanlty I like writing about life here; be it past or present. I take pride in being from Texas. I do think that this is shown in most of my work. sometimes I do like to write about Regency Era England. I love the romanticm of that period.

Doctor Katherine Seton was walking out of her office in the Federal Bureau of Investigation building when her partner Henry Fielding came sprinting up to her. “Kathy, we’ve got a case. The rest of the team is on the jet waiting to be briefed. Grab your extra clothes and let’s go.” Kathy popped open the trunk of her car and grabbed her suitcase. Turning around to Fielding, she sighed, “I suppose this means that you have your clothes on the jet already?” At his mischievous smile, she shook her...

Do you ever ask yourself questions? Ones that you are sure no one else stops to think about? I do on a daily basis. My family has a love for jokes and things that make you think; more often than not, they are a bit off color. I think my odd sense of humor is a genetic flaw; one quite hard to live with. My mom was told a joke one time about two people flying a plane. One man said, 'Wow, this runway isn't real long, but look how wide it is!' It took my mother three days to figure it out, even ...

Sean dismounted and tied his horse to the hitching post outside the general store. He hoped that he could find the family he was looking for here. He was running out of small, Hill Country Texas towns in which the family he was searching for could live. Walking up the steps to the entrance, he ran into someone; a female someone, to be exact. He grabbed her gently by the arms to steady her and stepped back. Looking down at her, Sean saw two very lovely green eyes, a pert nose, and lovely blac...

“Are you going to Scarborough Faire? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme Remember me to one who lived…” A strong wind blew, taking Loraine’s bonnet right off her head and into the Mesquite tree at the end of the garden. That made the third one ruined this year—and it was only March. Slightly frustrated, she shrugged and walked toward the house, still singing… “…there He was once a true love of mine” Opening the back door, she stuck her head in. No sign of Bridget. Slowly she crossed to the par...

I happen to like it. I like the reference to the past, like comparing the phone key pad to a harp. I Loved the setting you have given. It seems to be elegant, for you have classical music playing. The discription is wonderful, from the colors, sounds, and the smells.
I loved the intro where the spoon came in. I also liked that you touched a subject I am sure most people have faced. I think that there were a very few, minor errors outside of the dialect, but nothing that would hinder a reader.
I do like the way that you picked a topic that most people can relate. The imagery makes the emotion tangible, if that makes any sense. Overall, a great work.
I found this a moving Poem. I am not one for political poetry, which is what I would consider this; but that aside, it is deep, moving. One can almost feel the feelings of the narrator
