THE GOPHER AND THE RAT (Chapter 7 of Dharma and the stone of Izusa) The light of the sun warmed the petite bodies of Dharma and Gaho as they lay sleeping in a patch of thick green grass. Padma went out to gather some acorns and walnuts knowing that Gaho and Dharma would be very hungry when they woke up. She told Hania to stand guard to make sure no evil fell upon their new friends. There has been a great prophecy that foretold the coming of the chosen one who would rid the world of all hatred...

Niiwi hours had passed as Dharma and Gaho continued to weave and form the little baskets. Dharma’s paws ached from all the weaving and she rested a minutes to watch her mother’s handiwork. Gaho’s paws worked like magic to create perfect works of art. She marveled how quickly and easily Gaho’s paws maneuvered in and out, over and under. Dharma picked up another blade of wild grass and began once again on another basket. The sky above began to darken as Gaho and Dharma continued to work. The a...

“Dharma wake up. Dharma, you must get up.” Dharma lifted her head slowly unsure of where she was and who was speaking to her. “Alo, you’re alive! Is it really you?” “Dharma, I only have a moment to spend with you. You must listen to me. Your mission is very important. You are to be a great teacher of truth. There is so much hatred and pain in this world and you are to be a beacon of light to all the animals and teach them the true path. You will show them the path of love and compassion.” “B...

Skittles, Pop Rocks, Airheads sugar filled fantasies for the young or young at heart. Huggies, Tender Vittles, Tide with bleach, last minute necessities on the way home from work. A blushing young man, with the first night of love jitters. “Any brand will do Just give me a box.” “Why do you have to card me? I’m 35.” Sorry miss, it’s the law. Why can’t they understand? I’m just doing my job. Stale chips, soda pop wrinkled hotdogs and candy, a healthy diet for my lunch break. It’s 3am now and e...

THOSE WHO ARE BLESSED Blessed are the ones who really live according to the door for the sheep. Not just for Sunday show, but the real salt of the world. Blessed are the ones who take the time to know the misfits. They are the windows in which we can really see the light. Blessed are the ones who do not take the world as their master for it will make them a slave. They instead store up riches for the next with the currency of love. Blessed are the ones who live in the paradox. It is only by ...

i liked the message and the hope at the end. and just being...living in the moment. and the phrases like "commercialize my soul" the only suggestion is sometimes it didn't flow smoothly...though that isn't always important in poetry, but personally it's just something that makes it easier to read and more enjoyable
Quotes / Tomorrow
i like the way you said you could "live" with that, but not sure where you are going with this....i hope you are not depressed or maybe you just mean you are living each day to the fullest that if you were to die tomorrow you would have lead your life the way you wanted.
Quotes / Patient
Excellent, you say so much with so few words! Did you change this? i think i reviewed it before.
Quotes / State of Grace
i love the points you make here! i didn't see it much as a quote, unless you condense it. Would make a great blog or could be made into a poem. Great thoughts!
Excellent! i love the change!
