If I interpreted it correctly- you feel you don't change anymore? I like this statement with its humour. I laugh because it reminded me (although it is unrelated) of working in the factory days clocking in and out to earn the wage. Little changed day to day- just grew older and not necessarily richer- money problems were just put in limbo like the time from when I clocked in to when I clocked out. Sorry I have rambled somewhat on an unrelated subject, but this is what it reminded me of so I t...
Nice quote and all but, Are you not meant to create your own quotes here? I was under that small impression, at least up untill now if I am proved otherwise.
Senryū (literally 'river willow') is a Japanese form of short poetry similar to haiku in construction: three lines with 17 or fewer more (syllables) in total. However, senryū tend to be about human foibles while haiku tend to be about nature, and senryū are often cynical or darkly humorous while haiku are serious. Senryū do not need to include a kigo, or season word, like haiku. e.g The robber, when I catch, my own son This senryu that can also be translated "Catching him / you see the robber...
A good catchy way to remember the difference. While were on the subject, Some modern haiku is more similar to senryu than to traditional Japanese haiku. Most Western haiku and senryū poets no longer adhere to the 5-7-5 form, which is suitable for the Japanese language but which may lead English poets to produce over-long and sometimes stilted poems.
Im not quite sure I understand this- Is it taken out of context like from a movie of a novel? If it is meant to stand alone Im not quit sure it works as I am not sure I get it- Although I admit it might just be me- in which case I apologize. I dont wish to discourage in any way- I sense it is meant to be humorous but in what way I can not tell. Is it meant to be a put down of sorts or something along those 'put down' lines. If so I suppose some of the meaning dose come across, what Im saying ...
It made me laugh too- well almost, If Im being honest which is still good. I dont usually laugh out loud when I read- I sometimes ramble when i write, but thats another story (No! its not- its this one- sorry) Oh well- goodbye and write write write. yes
well, its not really an original quote is it? just kidding. you could have gone into more depth maybe adding a bit yourself on the matter (well I suppose you did in the notes) but maybe a bit more about the nature of quotes. A quotation is the repetition of one expression as part of another one, particularly when the quoted expression is well-known or explicitly attributed (as by citation) to its original source. A quotation can also refer to the repeated use of units of any other form of exp...
I like it- funny. I also am scared of flying, and for some reason Im not of earthquakes. I have flown before but not been in an earthquake. irrational fears are everywhere I suppose- they relive occasional boredom I suppose. Everything has a purpose i suppose even if its a pointless one.
