Introduction The landscape of history drips red with the blood of countless wars. Libraries are filled with the books of warfare. Generals have recorded their histories, their strategies, and their philosophies. Commanders have shaped their formations, their attacks, and their defenses based upon the wisdom and insight of those who fought and fell upon the battlefields of their ancestors. Governments both of the people and over the people have been built, managed, manipulated, suppressed, and...

I think that this teaches children to place value in those who are different from them, even if the difference in this case is a fantastical possibility rather than a real difference. You are a tremendously talented writer who does a good job "telling" the story. I appreciated the details invested in the rusty blue truck, such as the description of the single seat. I think it is wor...
My rating is not high because I don't find your story terribly compelling. I'm not trying to be rude, but if your aim is to gain the attention of a publisher, the quest that begins at a tarot card reader and ends in the introduction with a resolution of understanding will not accomplish that purpose. Use your foreword (notice the spelling error in yours) to build the premise, but to mystify me and give me a sense of intrigue and adventure. Give me an overview of the conflict and turmoil that ...
I thought you made a pretty good case until your last paragraph and you jumped into the mud with her.
I don't get this. "Ashamed" is either restraint due to the anticipation of guilt, or the feeling of it. So the first statement of your quote is an inference of pride, conflicted by the anticipation of the consequences of the expectations of "me" (or "another"). I guess what I'm saying is that "ashamed" doesn't seem to work as the common element linking the two statements, as I don't see a logical connection of being shamed by what someone else expects you to be, while at the same time being p...
