Hi, I’m Bridget. I’m a writer of novels, short stories, and an occassional work of poetry here and there. I could kiss Bill Gates, Al Gore or whoever is truly responsible for linking us all up in one place to express ourselves. I don’t think that there would be a coffeeshop large enough (though I might be wrong about that, it’s open to debate.) I’ve written my first published novel called “Master.” It actually won the Los Angeles Black Book Expo award for special genre in fiction…go figure. It was placed in the special genre category because it’s a horror/romance and they didn’t know what to do with it. I am difficult to categorize. My website is www.bridgetmorrow.com and my blogsite is attached. I would love to hear feedback from othe…

"C'mon Baby" It falls off her tongue, a want, an urgent plea that is almost musical, almost inspiring. She only meets my eyes briefly, I meet hers briefer still. If my embarrassment for her escapes she will become angry, she will hold me responsible. The one that she has cornered, her potential, may have time for second thoughts, he may leave her standing in the hot sun, left palm extended; frantic. Incredibly moving from the first line. Powerful word choices that carried me on a journey of knowing, dread, pain and understanding. You have such sight and are able to put what you see and feel on the page in a way that only most of us can dream of being able to do one day. Sunken pepsi can scuttles on little crab feet...I adore this. You must continue writing if I have to come to your house and place the lap top under your fingers everyday. I guess what I'm saying is you have a fan, and hai...
Hi, you give the facts and have done your homework about what a good query should include but it's missing passion. I'm not excited about reading how this will all unfold. Some words drew me in, for instance you wrote that "Tebrey is haunted..." I enjoyed that word choice. Another strong word choice was scarred. As stated earlier, I know you've carefully included all of the facts but you need to re-word to draw me in and make me want to read 110,000 words. Overall, a good job and I'm sure it'...
I thoroughly enjoyed that piece! The rhythm of it reminded me of poems from long ago. It is nice to see someone is willing to tackle poetry of this nature and so well thought out. You seem to be having so much fun with your word choices that we reading it in turn have fun as well. I took a second and read that you are under 18. Well I don't know what your career choice will be but please consider being a poet. That was fun.
