Wow, great story. Let me ask did she cheat and he kicked her out? Or what happened to her? I love how you talk about the memory of smells and feels everyone who's broken up with someone before can relate to this. I really feel that even though your story isn't long it's perfect. Great job.
This was an awesome story. I love stories that are odd and are about the sixth sense. I think you gave the reader awesome background on the girl and growing up and what all she had seen. I think it's really cool how Mrs. Swift reacts to her and gives her that book. And the new house in Indiana, I was wondering how you would play that out. I think you did a great job with it. Awesome job! I liked the way you put the humiliation into so few words. It was felt deeply though. I could feel the humiliation being spewed forth by your descriptions. I loved the part "smearing words like peanut butter on bread defiled by the jelly of condescend" Awesome line, very well put.
Yes I know where you are coming from. I liked your poem and think it will be recieved well by all. Perhaps you should look into a writer's magazine to publish it. I think you symbolize how every writer feels about their muse. I also like how you have her singing and laughing in the field. You've set up good description that will allow all to visualize your muse and how you see her. Also the part about you speaking one way and her another, great symbolization!!!
