The plane was setting up for the landing formation. They had just flown over the Wasatch mountains and below them was Salt Lake City. The landing gear could be heard lowering as well as the flaps. Don hated this part of the ride, because it seemed they usually hit turbulence. Sure as shit, the pre-landing did not disappoint. “Do you need me to wipe the sweat off your brow as we land,” Jessica asked with a coy smile. Don just stared at his magazine. Feeling a little too stressed about the land...

The alarm clock screamed at 4:00AM, causing Jessica to frantically slap her hand around the nightstand trying to hit the snooze button. It was too early to remember which button was the snooze, and it was so loud, that she could not think straight anyways. Finally she grabbed the alarm clock and tossed it across the room. “Shit, that will probably be charged to our room,” she sighed. With the alarm silenced, she was able to think more clearly about the days events. “Moving,” She yelled as she...

John always kept his window down while driving to work everyday, even in the middle of winter. No, he is not superman and in fact freezes his ass off when he does so at Seven o’clock in the morning in the middle of December. So why might a young man of 25 feel the need to roll down the window? Good thought, but no, John is not a smoker. In fact, John has a set schedule of hitting the gym 5 days a week for a minimum of 2 hours. The reason for keeping his window down is simple. You see, rules o...

I sped through traffic, panicking and on the verge of crying. The hospital used to be so close, but it seemed far away today. Just 10 minutes ago I was relaxing and eating cereal when I got a call that my Grandma had been rushed to the hospital earlier this morning. I did not know the severity of her situation, yet I did know that she had been in bad health the last few years. She’d never been hospitalized. But now I thought the worst had happened and I would not be able to say goodbye. I rem...

I hope this dont come across as morbid, but I really liked this. It is full of feeling and emotions. I think every person who reads this feels a tug at their heart as they think of their own mothers, such as I did. It reminds me to cherish the moments while my mother is still with me.
Crime, Thrillers & Mystery / Blurb from Do you remember me?
I think what you wrote works very good. Im not saying it needs a change, but if there was another analogy/phrase to replace the "Rollercoaster ride," I would use it. It just seems that one is overused. Keeping it works, its just not original.
I thought this was fairly good. On the second line you have "psychology face." I think it could be changed to psychiatrist face or psychologists face or even annalyzing face. The last Line "I always believe you" didnt seem to belong. I do like this piece and am left wondering who is the "Angel," such as BF OR GF or actual Psychiatrist or other.
Im not sure if this could really be classified as poetry. It is sort of a plea letter set up like a poem. I think it could set up some big arguments too, because it reads like it is Mr. Americas fault that Africa is in civil war. Or it reads like America owes them a debt. I think this story/poem is controversial and is more of a debate than anything.
