Wow. This is an excellent poem about a relationship that has not completely survived but does not seem entirely willing to die either. I like the tone and timbre of the piece which is uncomplicated while the meaning of the piece deals with deep emotions and negotiations of a long term relationship. AWESOME! I can't wait to read more. This is perfect just the way it is.

Fast paced and interesting. I had a little trouble figuring out the daydream part. The transition wasn't very smooth. You get a good feel for the character and the descriptions are wonderful. Love all the detail!

Needs some editing, but I do believe that you have achieved your goal of a first page that keeps attention. The way you described the storm was so fantastic it bacame a character itself. I would love to know how Davy and John came into the company of goblins. Perhaps a little more on that story would be helpful.

Entirely entertaining! Interesting that the highest ranked piece (I think...not a big chess person) seems to be something of a moron..grooming and saying prayers etc while the least important piece is complaining about his lot. Charles is unable to emphathize with Bob until Bob is placed in danger. Danger is exactly what Bob was wanting and then when he got it, he didn't want it any more. Sort of explains all of life doesn't it? Even the "what is god doing" question is brough into it. I say B...

What an interesting and deeply painful journey it must have been for you to come to these conclusions following such a trauma. The beginning describing mom in such a perfection from the eyes of a child and the love the child had for the mother so clearly outlined.
