really good for the chapter one of a mystery story. i think you should add a intro part to your book so people will know more about chapter one like how she got into alaska.
i didn't like the thing about the elves since i'm not much into that but, it was a really good story. i recommend this to people who read about ogres and elves and other things like that.

i liked how you wrote down "...or that there was movement among the trees." it made me know something was about to happen to the queen and prince. i also like the ending of how you used "...smothered their breathing." it was a really good part and ending to the story.
