It’s 7:30 in the AM, I’m late for work, and this fantastically fat woman is standing here in front of me taking 15 minutes to decide between a triple tall full fat mocha latte and Hot chocolate made with pure cream into which she can dip her biscuits! Does anybody else see anything wrong with this picture?,” I asked, turning to the mass huddled behind me in line. “Ma’am you’re going to have to be patient. I’m sorry for the wait, said Preston from behind the counter. I presumed the fat lady he...

The cold was biting deep into the bones of Lewis S. Preston, esq. as he stood chipping away the snow from his windshield. Sun had not yet dawned and the darkness normally wouldn’t have frightened him, but something about the eeriness of the previous night’s storm had him feeling a little creepy. He could hear a bicycle coming down the street. Ahh, my morning delight! He thought. The paper boy always hit his house just as he was jumping into his car. It was the favorite part of his morning. He...

Chapter 2 “But spam and eggs is the island specialty,” the waitress said. “Eggs and toast will be just fine cutie,” I replied. “I promise I’ll try the island specialty when I haven’t spent the previous night as sick as I did last night.” I smiled and winked at her, figuring if I pretended to be attracted, she’d get my order up a little faster. It’s not like women like her got much attention from men. She was fat and homely with thick glasses, blond hair, and a giant mole right smack in the ce...

Your poem is very descriptive, but you're not presenting a connection between the little girl and the beach, even though they are one in the same. Draw a deeper connection.
i feel like i'm reading a screenplay. it's a great story and i thought it was quite humourous. the only problem is that we're bombmarded with dialogue, whcih is a common theme here on urbis for some reason. it'd be nice to see how each character reacts to the words of the person to whom they're speaking. add some narration. other than that it's quite interesting, 8
so this reads like a blog or a journal, and i'm not sure that i would put it in the category of young adult simply because of your language. It's quite interesting though, and I can just see the wheels turning as you type!
the title drew me in, now let's see if the piece is any good... it's funny. most of the people that review our writing can't write themselves so it's almost pointless. I like how you poke fun "“i like to read what i type” "wondering and pondering" redundant. pondering is the rhyming word so why not just use it twice: pondering and pondering. I'd also add some structure breakups. ex: pondering and pondering, not... out sauntering.
