Excellent story. Can't really fault it in any way. You use the "plant" analogy very well, you describe his fear of heights most convincingly. It's a simple story, well told.

This is, without a doubt, the most mature and accomplished piece I have read on Urbis. Clever allusions, great rhythm, worthy of publication. I think it starts better than it finishes, and the "There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been all of them." is kind of stuck on. I'd finish it with "He’s one hell of a nice old guy." I'm going to go looking for other stuff you've done. Gil

A preliminary remark: This is not entirely my taste in literature, so it was with some reluctance that I embarked upon it - the best of a bad lot of pieces offered for review.
