There really is not much tell, at least on a public page. I was an Info Tech professional that was tired of working for 30% of my worth in a flooded market and thusly decided it was time for a career change so I just recently returned to college in order to do something more to my liking. I am a free thinker and a pagan that is cynical in nature, although I must say, with the help of close friends I am becoming more optimistic whether I like it or not…lol. Recently I read the short story "Those Who Walk Away from Omelas" and it got me to thinking about the relationship between Heaven and Hell. Now I am not bashing Christians but I am really using this example as more of an exercise than anything to help me on this topic that will probably eventually be turned into an essay. Honestly I really do not feel very confident critiquing poetry, however the piece does create a good visualization. I am still currently ponding it as I am analyzing it. The concept of exploding darkness really could manifest as many different things in a social level. However, every good piece intends makes the reader think and forces them to decide.
Please bear with me as I do not consider myself much of a critic. The short had good voice, was not to wordy and felt that it had good balance as far as description goes. Personally I would have been a little more descriptive but not much. Where the story starts encourages the reader to read further building an air of mystery so props with that. One typo I noticed in the next to the last sentence.
