Hmmm, what has surprised me the most?? That's a tough one! I think a few things: 1. that a person can actually survive & function on so little sleep! 2. How resilient children really are ;-) 3.how strong & assertive I've become b/c of them 4. My fierce protectiveness and absolutely UNCONDITIONAL love for them 5. how fascinated & overjoyed I am at each little thing (and the big things too!) that they do 6.how quickly I got over being grossed out by throw-up and poop painting...... 7. I’m not your “ordinary “ suburban mom. I don’t have a husband, I don’t have a lawn service, I don't have a maid or a nanny. I don’t have 2.3 kids or a dog.
