John Norton hails from the cold depths of the Adirondack Mountains in Northern New York. He is not a writer. He is not a story teller. Nor is he a singer, a poet, or a saint.
He enjoys listening to a wide variety of music. Here you will find various blogs and scenarios created while hearing songs, verses and albums.
Not much makes sense. Is personal blogging supposed to? Welcome to the abstract and unusual world of Planet Ribnog.

Ever have one of those days where time has slipped into your shoe and you’ve succeeded in nothing but stomping the hell out of it as you’ve walked around doing nothing? Such has this day been, even as I sit here dropping Jello molds of American flags on this keyboard just to see what will appear on the screen when I look up. What great fun is this! What a time so simple and pure, yet not quite time wasted after all. Planets on merry-go-rounds, bright stars burning themselves cold. The Milky ...

It’s a nice evening for a whore. Thin sleeves of red cotton drapes over frail arms, framing a shiny black miniskirt over milky white thighs and knobby knees. She wears black pumps with straps wrapped tightly around her ankles. Wavy auburn hair streaked with blonde cascades over bony shoulders. Eyeliner is smudged down the length of her tear-stained cheek. Taking a few twenties from my hand, the girl turns to the door. A car horn blasts on the other side. She’s late. She has a cross tattooed ...

It’s nineteen degrees and the moon is hovering over cirrus, so lulling and delicate. When we got home this evening we decided the wine could wait, so a stroll we stole. :) A hood was drawn to my shoulders and a scarf kissed Caspian’s cheek. I’ve never seen him in such light, his face a porcelain calm. He was so much in awe… so still and silent that the wind could have shattered him. If there was a picnic blanket, well his guitar he would have strummed—I’m sure of it. I’m so happy to be home....

It happened at the water cooler. Bubbling bubbly bubbles turned to stone, Splashed icy pebbles on a tired arm Under the hefty weight of that paper cup. And it happened right there, Right there at the water cooler. They came and stole away that water cooler Bubbling bubbly bubbles turned to stone On that burning afternoon. That humid, sticky afternoon When elements shocked electric veins. And it happened right there at the water cooler. They rolled it over a tall bridge Somewhere in Sullivan, ...

some of this didn't flow for me, but since i hate the south and everyone there... you get 10 out of 10. ;)
Are you really just thirteen years old? This is material and a bit of insight that seems beyond your years. Honestly, the grammar could use a slight polish, but that will come to you, I'm sure of it. You have started a believable character (Melony), and I hope you continue to work this out. Please let me know when you have more done; I'm quite impressed. Very well done. :)~
hehehe. very nice ending... all mornings should be as nice. well done. :0)~
wow. this is very sad and lonely. i can see this in a movie somewhere, like "where the day takes you" or "trainspotting." excellent scene, i love it. great mood and volumes said with few words. well done. :)~
hey, thanks for the setup on nanofiction. this made me laugh and i wonder if she's got a 104 fever or if she's in labor? probably in labor, i would guess. lol. i like this; quite witty. well done. ;)~
