I’ve had just a few college courses in English (and some in French), but have read much on my own. It’s fun!

I seldom see poetry with such brief lines (two words or less!), but the meaning is crystal clear. A quick end to a shallow relationship, in a nutshell.

It may be a mistaken pun, but does the "Shepherd's Crook" refer to a corrupt government, 'crook' meaning 'criminal'? So our "Current Shepherd" is a corrupt governor, or at least, a crooked one? Or perhaps the 'crook' is like the device used in amature hour shows, in which the feckless entertainer loses the stage, as the crook, from offstage, drags them away? Or perhaps the sheep are...
Nit Pics Is there some reason the 3rd word is not in the dictionary? How could you misspell in an 8 word composition? Reviewer's notes contain incomplete sentences. Big Pic This is a fine idea, but you alone should do something to improve the expression. How about an illustration which is part of the composition, rather than in a note about it?

This is marvelous. It has all the classic elements of a children's tale. It begins "Once upon ...", it has repetition, it has inanimate objects take on human characteristics, it has a child as main character, it has "love" for a central theme, it teaches the values of persistence, loyalty and compassion. It is replete with magic and imagination. There is no violence, but there is strife, the struggle to become. The vocabulary is simple, but not too simple. I think it is better than most of th...
