I got into an argument today, concerning a certain destiny-driven death deliverer named Robert A. Hawkins. In a short time, he will be known as “that guy who killed eight people at that mall”, and I’m sure that not long after that, not remembered at all. The only difference between me and the rest of the world is that I don't pretend to care before I forget. However, for now he is a fixture for conversation at the hellhole that pays me. Two co-workers were discussing, to annoyingly great leng...

I am a bundle of meat and bones with an expiration date, and a brain that wants to convince me that I’m anything else. That means, of course, that I am a human. But I am not a happy human. My heart has been pumping life into these dead limbs for years. It’s not that I want to die; I’m just tired of living. Pretty funny. Sounds like something an adult fan of Harry Potter might buy for the bumper of their car.
I'm sorry, but I fail to understand what you mean by this. I could see "innocence" or "naivety", perhaps, but why brilliance?
BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THIS! Like The Lord's Prayer for writers! you express yourself so wonderfully. The desire for what you have created to be a foundation for others, knowing that your own perspective is too limited to even begin to encompass the entire idea. An instant favorite!
Even though I have heard this before a number of times, the fact that you believe this to be your original thought is indicative that you do have talent. It is one thing to plagurize an author's work, and a much different thing to come to the same resolution after assessing the same problem. Therefore, I commend rather than codemn, and encourage you to continue expressing yourself in literature to find what other gems might be lurking there!
