I work as a copywriter. Literature – reading and writing in all forms is a complete obsession.
I’ve travelled a lot and had some interesting life experiences, lots of fun jobs – like a 5th grade teacher, family therapist….
Maybe later I’ll take some time to write about some of the authors I admire – for rt now I’ll just say I love the russians and the french

Thanks so much for the well crafted analysis on quality fiction writing - it's a mini education. I've been mulling over Aristotle's "Poetics" for the last few years, but unfortunately heard only brief mentions of this foundational work in college and none of it in high school. Your brief essay is completely practical and 100% applicable, thanks for the wisdom.
One of the finest pieces of potential print I've seen in a long time - alas, news is not in trouble afterall. It would be great if you put out a bunch of such blurbs in an mock print - Mcsweeneyesque.
I liked it more as I read on and even more when I reread it. However, I think you have to give the reader more to connect with or more internal congruence, especially right in the beginning. You may run the risk of readers falling by the way side because to them it is disconnected. I think I get the gist of what's going on - singularity and the world forming tied in with metephors of a creation story? Are Eugene and the Sculptress spins on satin and god?
What can i say, good times my man. This was a horrible short story, but a somewhat entertaining rant. Obviously you didn't intend for it to be an actual short story with the stucture of beginning mid and end, etc., and Aristotle's other suggestions in his "Poetics." I'm an advocate of recognizing bullshit and extremely formulaic, plot-driven genre writing like Dan Browns - is that what you were doing?
