Of a limerick… not just some hype!

This was a good poem, but a little too short for my taste.

I had no idea about the existence of the anti limerick. i like it, it’s interesting. but is it a real genre, or just a simple variation on limericks…. wikipedia is pretty lousy these days, I no longer trust most of it except for really nerdy stuff
Very cute. I’ve seen a few of these on here before and surprisingly enough I find that I actually enjoy them more than regular limericks. Perhaps it is there basis in parodies and their expression of irony? Either, I like this. My one recommendation is to use the break in rhyme to really highlight a specific word or short phrase, rather than the entire line. I find the poem tends to make more of an impact that way.
Funny, short and sweet. I like how you added your own criteria—“anti-limerick overall.”
But, tell me. What exactly IS an anti-limerick?
