Because we are all striving for peace, we idealize peace in this world, look and listen it is everywhere. Yet no matter how hard we try to reach it we fail, no matter how humble we try to be hostility will still be present. Take a step back from your daily life and observe your day’s actions, what you get angry at, what you resent, what you dislike, what you have a hard time accepting, then you will realize that true peace cannot be obtained when living. There is a reason why we etch ‘Rest in Peace’ in our tombstones and that reason is because once you are dead all the trifles, stigmata, pettiness associated with living are no longer applicable. At the point you may have other issues to deal with perhaps. But there is no sure way to know if peace will be achieved at the point, and I’m not one that curious, or rushed to find out, but that is the conclusion I have determined based on my ability to critically think and observe.

You get a “10” for this one..in my opinion it’s very beautiful and poetic..very nice job!
I don’t know if I find it amusing or warming of the heart, but i agree with you completely.
i reanked this poem high in the caterogries i did because i feel you achieve the task of being understood and making it a great quote. but as far as entertainment and warming a few hearts – i feel its depressing (i know it is supposed to be).
i only wish that a quote like that wouldnt be publicized for the meaning, but rather the talent that the wording of the quote has.
its simple but gets the point across very clearly
besides the mood of the poem – i feel there is no real negative criticsim to give
