ok as I said over and over again…at the time i said this, i was really depressed…& it was raining outside…& i was sick of crying…so in saying it it was kind of my way of giving my tears away…letting the rain pour down & cry for me….

This is simple, but powerful. I relate to this.

I like it. It’s quite understandable. And it relates to the depressing feeling you get on a rainy day.
nice quote and your note to the reviewer really helped to clarify..

When I think about this qoute it makes me think about how the sound of rain can be so soothing and calm to some people. There is just something about water that not only purifies the body but calms the soul. I don’t know I liked this qoute.
I don’t even think you need to explain. It’s a good quote. Very sad and insightful.
First of all, you may want to lower the criteria on here. You could just have, “to be understood,” “Quotes-Overall,” and “Publishable overall”... I didn’t understand the point your were trying to make with this. Did you mean because of how much it rains, you don’t have to cry? Or you just won’t cry anymore? It’s kind of unclear.
The thinking is there, but I’m not too sure about this one. It’s sounds cliche, but whether thats cause the concept is over used or that it needs to be explained more, is beyond me. Something about it just doesn’t sit quite right with me.
I’m having trouble grasping the concept, how the rain would allow someone to no longer cry. The rain may make the appearance of tears not so obvious, but rain has nothing to do with the height of emotion that comes with crying.
Good enough effort though.
This reminds me of something I’ve read here recently. There’s a poem with a very similar theme…it seems universal really. I guess that can be good and bad! It verges on the cliche because of it’s universality, but I also like the wording. The way you construct the sentence is strong.
Wow! This needs to be in quotes. It’s powerful.
It forces thought.
...could be written:
The rain shall be my tears; so, I no longer have to cry.
Just a thought
