If it’s implying what I think, the second part might read better like this,

Interesting… not laugh out loud, but more of a joke. That guy would annoy me though, he’s seems like a bragger. Maybe its cause guys like that get on my nerves, since I’m a guy. I brag a little, though, too. Just kind of flaunted a bit of an ego.

I think that the second line is a little awkward because of the word “get.” I don’t know if it is the correct tense to use, although I understand that the spoken word often doesn’t follow the rules of grammar.
