Sci Fi & Fantasy / God Behind the Firewall (Analysis)
Arun is a computer expert bored with his job testing software at an Internet security company. Although the position pays well, Arun begins to question the meaning in his own life after he experiences odd dreams that leave him shaken and sweaty each morning.
A new mentor helps Arun find more challenging work, and he soon finds himself developing breakthrough technology that could dramatically change the future of the computer industry. But first, the gifted young programmer must battle his own personal addictions in the midst of a search for the leader of an evil Internet crime ring.
As Arun begins to understand the true power of the new technology he is building, he discovers his own personal potential as well. Supported by the woman he loves and the wisdom of his mentor, Arun struggles to conquer his enemies and step forward into a new life where the dimensions of technology and spirituality can coexist in peace.
Technology and spirituality converge in God Behind the Firewall, a fascinating look at the parallels between the world as science has defined it and the spiritual realm hidden in the deepest corners of the human mind.

Sounds like an interesting idea for a story. Something fresh that you can see people actually going through right now.

I think it would be an interesting read. I think the wording in the second paragraph needs to be changed, though. The “evil internet crime ring” thing seems to be too big of a plot point to have only one sentence. Doesn’t need too much more… maybe a sentence or two. One is just not enough, though.
it sounds like a good plot… especially in this day and age where technology seem to be impinging on our humanity… in a way, the more we depend on it, the more we fear it… an interesting cunundrum… i like your idea… go for it!

This synopsis has definitely achieved its goal. I will be looking up your book on Amazon! I believe that any publishing company or agent that reads this would want to follow up on this story. Good luck!

This treatment leaves me intrigued, and with several questions.
1) Does Arun know the woman he loves from the beginning of the story, or does he find her on his quest?
2) What kind of addictions does he have to overcome? Drugs? Gambling? Gaming? Materialism?
3) Does Arun’s relationship with his mentor change over time?
4) Does Arun start out merely dissatisfied/confused about his life, or does he have flaws/weaknesses (other than the addiction) that he must confront and improve in himself? In other words, does he have a dark side?
5) Do the characters begin the story with strong spiritual beliefs?
