Poetry / Hi, Modernism (Analysis)
Hi, Modernism
(more A’s)
now’s adust
alas as
none’s leather-armed travail
can beat the final acrasy
of our order
racially-banded the styles today
the new confederates tomorrow
who will genuflect
and hoist lax aubades
onto fifty Roman skylines
aliquant yet aliquot[e]
no natural combat but misery
from the rummaged-in brainscoria
to a cinder purchase-petitioned
as purpose-positioned
uhhh (no utraquism, please…)
a billot a ticket of for-want-of
trans libido sans trans lipids
t-shirt agrarian “farmer’s tan”
o blog it on intrabrain
“lost like a needle in…”
inanda’s kraal
suffice, you suffix main
and none for you death
o absit omen
yes we
the earnestly g®illed
do resent
the dead
erstwhile exhaled
that fish their living pond
sublime with bait
~
the abodes of the ancient noun
vert-de-Grice eaten
re-mind me my fathers’ affidavit
and my mother’s commiseration
subliminal radical afebrile
easing me into the fevered crop
the re-current currant currency
of One’s possessions possessing
in condition afflux conditioning
pruning the tines and fork-gables
that are one’s lonely inheritance
~
aide-mémoire: more bombs on cities
even more johns on titties
(note to self: raise the tithing
on the teething. make this happen)
~
amour-propre
o brooklyn palm cure my asthma diarrhea
dysmenorrhea spasms dysuria eruption
gonorrhea leucorrhea epilepsy fever
metrorrhagia spermatorrhea
premature ejaculation
cancer malaria sores
wet dreams
~
an aiguillette agnail tooth
whose tooth this be?
whose it may
me non con motto
these things et al
these other-than-
others
of Cartouche
demotic the highway strangler
not songs nor maybe a shen ring
i.e. wedding ring; drama
“poor excuse” illicitus
pendulous the parenthesis
of conned signifycant others
going going going
going going
goned

kuts yew o my agyn
-ous yew wish to yew
seemen on yer grapplars
wif gourdey leggins tew

i don’t know how one is supposed to “critiqu” something like this. i enjoyed it just on a level of words as sounds, as i was unfamiliar w/ many of the words used(and am fairly certain many of them were made up as well). as a atream-of-unconsciouness flow, i enjoyed it. as a poem that expresses anything more than the pleasure of musically-articulate babbling, i think it’s less successful. but i must say, the level of your incoherent babble is highly evolved!
