Finally someone reads it the way it was written. It was intended to be very sarcastic and cynical with a curl at the lip and a dip in the brow when spoken. The key word to catch the actual meaning was “moment”...

Can someone be in love for one moment? This doesn’t sound like love to me. I understand and like where this quote is going; I just think the word “moment” is unfortunate. I “love” that is fleeting (like a moment) is pretty superficial, isn’t it?

Well I like the idea of it. The truth is i think a moment in love is exactly that ‘a moment’
whereas a broken heart is a ‘long term state of being’ A million moments one after the other, a constant reminder to all other moments that ‘you have been in this moment before… and look what happened.’
The broken heart is the aftermath and the spoiler of ‘the moment’
Nevertheless, a good quote that would make some great dialogue.
along the lines of “it’s better to have loved and lost…” it makes sense but it’d make more sense if you give a measure of time to the broken heart. otherwise how’ll someone whose never had one know how long that means compared to a moment in love.

A moment in love goes too fast while a broken heart may last forever.
