Poetry / Lost Key
I loved it when we would hang out all night,
We never got in a single fight,
We would laugh, sing, and talk together,
We thought we would be friends for forever.
When i look at you, your eyes would sparkle,
Your pupils, the color of roasted charcoal.
Then you would say,”What?” and start to smile,
My love for you is longer than a mile.
But i never told you about my love for you,
Cause i thought i should keep it to myself, too.
But you also kept something from me,
You lied and kept the key.
The next day i was invisible,
And the other girl was now visible.
I wish it was the way it was before,
Because you hurt me down to the core.
